Le Verger - Not for profit Organisation - Rolle‘Le Verger’, a Christian Science nursing facility was founded and is managed by the Association of Le Verger.

TThe organisation is a charity and not-for-profit.  Its operations depend for the most part on the financial gifts of its friends around the world.

Le Verger provides its guests with a calm and comfortable environment where they will find an atmosphere conducive to the study of Christian Science.

An environment conducive to healing

Christian Science Nurses are available 24 hours a day for those who need practical support.

The spacious and well-lit rooms all include an ensuite bathroom with a shower.  Most rooms also have a balcony.

 Le Verger - Not for profit Organisation - Rolle In the Study Room, you can find the Bible, all the writings of Mary Baker Eddy in English, as well as translations into several other languages, plus a large number of other books and publications to enrich your study.

You are welcome to take a stroll through the large tree-lined garden, with flowers almost all year round, and to relax in the lounge which offers a wide range of books, a television and dvd player, and a piano.

The daily reading of the Bible Lesson in French generally takes place in the lounge.

Conditions  of admission

Those who come to Le Verger for healing are relying solely on Christian Science and look to better understand their relationship with God.  No medical treatment is provided at Le Verger, and its guests and patients are requested to avoid all use of medication, alcohol, tobacco and drugs while in the house.

Those who require Christian Science nursing care must be receiving treatment from a Christian Science Practitioner currently listed in the Christian Science Journal.

Everyone is free to seek an alternative source of healing at any time.  The staff at Le Verger can support and assist with this process.

In order to come to Le Verger for Christian Science nursing care or for Rest and Study, you will need to complete an application form.  This enables us to appropriately respond to your specific needs, and prepare for your stay.

Christian Science nursing care is generally provided on a one-to-one short-term basis, as we are here to support quick and whole healing.  If longer stays are needed, this can be discussed with the Director of Christian Science nursing as the need arises.

We cannot provide long-term residential care.

Rates and financial aid

Our desire is that no-one is prevented from finding the Christian Science nursing care and the peace they may need at Le Verger for financial reasons.  There are various funds available for financial support which vary from region to region, depending on where you live.  If you need help with this, please feel free to contact the secretary of Le Verger who can assist you.

The town of Rolle

Le Verger - Not for profit Organisation - RolleRolle is on the North shore of Lake Geneva, located about halfway between Geneva and Lausanne in an area with many lovely places to walk.  It is also a good place to use as a base for excursions slightly further afield to many scenic Swiss beauty spots.

Rolle is easily accessible by train or car, and even by boat during the summer months.

Le Verger is located a few minutes’ walk from the centre of town, the train station and the lake and harbour.

There are trains every half hour to Geneva and Lausanne, and we will be happy to collect patients and guests from the train station in Rolle, as well as from local main line stations, Geneva airport or from home if necessary.
